UK number plate makers are required to register with the DVLA and abide by the rules and regulations set out by them.

Likewise, When you buy your number plates (which display a vehicle registration number) you are required to prove proof of identity and also show proof of ownership of the registration number prior to receiving the number plates.

You can post your documents securely (we will return them via registered post) to us at the following address or bring them into our store personally.

Documents to confirm your identity.

Driving license, whether or not issued in the United Kingdom (UK) (with or without a photo) – this is preferred because it’s a secure, government-issued document showing both name and address.

A bill issued by your electricity, gas or water supplier, a landline telephone bill, or a council tax bill (current within the last six months) or rates bill (in Northern Ireland only)

A bank or building society statement

A passport, whether or not issued in the UK
* a national identity card issued by the government of a state or territory other than the UK

A debit or credit card issued by a bank or building society

A police warrant card
 or an armed forces identity card

Vehicle registration certificate (V5C or V5CNI) – these are the preferred documents

The new keeper supplement (V5C/2 or V5C/2NI) of the registration certificate

Certificate of entitlement (V750)

Retention document (V778) (not applicable in Northern Ireland)
* vehicle license renewal form (V11)

Temporary registration certificate (V379) (not applicable in Northern Ireland)

Authorization certificate (V948) with an official stamp from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA) or Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA)

A letter of authorization from a fleet operator (including lease or hire company) (not applicable in Northern Ireland) – the letter must quote the document reference number from the registration certificate, not the vehicle identification numberNumber Plates are a Bespoke 'made to order' product – No Returns unless your item is faulty or damaged.

1) The terms and conditions apply to all business transactions carried out by 'Incarservices' hereinafter referred to as the 'Company' 2) The person applying for bespoke goods from the 'Company' is hereinafter referred to as the 'Purchaser'. 3) Your statutory rights are not affected. Section 13 of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (Statutory Instrument 200 No.2334) no cancellations are accepted once the Purchaser has placed an order via the internet, telephone or through the mail. Subsequently there is no 'cooling off period', the transaction cannot be reversed and no refund can be given.
Therefore It is the sole responsibility of the Purchaser to ensure that all details are entered onto the internet forms the Company provides and submitted correctly.
Under the Distance Selling Regulations the Company must notify you that the service we provide begins as soon as an order is received.
Number plates are a bespoke made product particular to the Purchaser. Return of items for refund is ONLY available if the product fails with a manufacturing fault within 14 days of delivery.
Replacement of an item is ONLY available if the product fails with a manufacturing fault within the warranty period or has been damaged in transit.
The liability is limited to a refund only. Claims for damages, interest on moneys paid or any other expenses will NOT be considered.
The Purchaser MUST NOT accept a delivery if the packaging is damaged. Components used in plate building process meet the BS AU145d specification.
The On Line Plate Designer software gives an accurate representation of how the plate(s) will look. There may be slight differences due to colour variations on the website and your computer monitor.
It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to ensure the correct details for the plates are entered into the designer.
Whilst every attempt is made to ensure the fastest possible dispatch of goods, the Company cannot guarantee any specific time period for the entire transaction.
The Company cannot accept responsibility for delays or errors caused by the postal system or third party carriers over which the Company has no control.
